Kulturepalast Wedding International

Garth Gregory and Lauren Moffatt install the kulturpalast with video, animation, sculpture, painting, and found objects. By placing their works in dialogue with one another, they create a narrative based on mismatched tempos and the friction between static and time based media.

Here I have attempted to capture the motion of painting I have taken 4 still images of a tap dancer from the streets of London and on the same canvas reproduced the figure over and over again each time removing part of or the whole figure that was there previously, it is a basic stop motion animation which talks about painting. Although technically nothing new it created quite a beautiful effect and presents quite simply the process of painting and the aplication of motion to a traditionally static medium.
